Huddersfield (A) – Verdict

Another half day off work, stuck in traffic on a three and a half hour trip and ended up watching a re-run of last season’s final game against Sunderland where we simply failed to turn up.

The unbeaten run had to end at some point and for regular watchers, it comes as no great surprise that Huddersfield would be the ones that did it. Huddersfield simply wanted it more, won all the first and second balls and cut off the supply to our wing backs.

They won every midfield battle and refused us even one shot. Even the substitutions were wrong as we needed power and pace but Traore was not chosen and Cav decided to try finesse rather than speed and it was the wrong type of game for the other subs.

We didn’t roll over and die but did nothing to warrant gaining anything. Oh well, it may be another wake-up call to all – still a great season with the final furlong now in sight. Man of the match? Only Jota did himself justice.
